In principle it is impossible to avoid wind – induced conductor vibrations on overhead lines. In the most unfavourable cases, fractures caused by vibrations on accessories and overhead lines can already occur directly after installation on the overhead line. However, fatigue fractures caused by continuous vibration may occur only some years after installation.

Stockbridge dampers for single conductors and spacers dampers for bundle conductors, have been used for the purpose of reducing the intensity of vibrations. Various types of wind – induced mechanical oscillations occur on overhead lines.

Standards

The bolts are according to DIN 931–grade 8.8
The nuts are according to DIN 934.

Hot dip galvanizing

Steel hard wave is hot dip galvanized.
Galvanizing can be done in accordance to international standard such as ASTM 153 & ASTM 123.
