String Hardware

String Hardware is used to connect insulators to the tower & conductors. The forged hardware is mainly made of heat-treated steel.This steel is especially suitable for forging and its good performance, especially ductility, is due to the heat treatment process.

Standards: The bolts are according to DIN 931 – grade 8.8 Split pins are made of stainless steel. Standards for balls and sockets according to IEC 120.

Dimensions of other connections are shown in the relevant catalogue section & others are available on request. Security split pins for sockets are in accordance to BS 3288.

Hot Dip Galvanizing: Steel hardware is hot dip galvanized.
Galvanizing can be done in accordance to international standards. Such as ASTM 153, ASTM 123.
